Hello! I'm Ennuh. (like HENNA but the H is at the end)
I like to think that our eyes are tiny worlds. The way we see things shapes the stories we tell, the photographs we make, and sometimes even the lives we end up living.
I've always been drawn to mundane moments that people don't usually pay attention to. The glow of a convenience store at 2 a.m. The way afternoon light sneaks into a room and casts strange little shapes. A plastic chair that somehow feels lonely. The things most people walk past without noticing. Photography became my excuse to keep looking a little longer.
That curiosity has taken me to all sorts of places. I've worked as a photographer and creative strategist with artists, musicians, fashion brands, and commercial clients, while also making personal work that explores memory, grief, family, and the wonderfully strange parts of everyday life.
For a while, I believed every creative person needed to have it all figured out. Turns out, I've spent most of my career getting pleasantly lost. Some of my favorite projects began as side quests, experiments, or ideas that didn't make much sense until much later.
One thing I've learned is that we don't always recognize the value of our own work. Some of the photographs I'm most proud of today were images I almost ignored, until someone else saw something in them that I couldn't. Looking back, I think my creative journey has been shaped as much by community as it has been by my own curiosity. Sometimes all it takes is one conversation for you to see your work, or yourself, a little differently. It feels great to feel seen.
