What Does a Gabay Mentor Do?
As a mentor, your role is not to teach a curriculum or provide all the answers.
Gabay mentors act as creative companions: holding space, sharing experiences, listening openly, and helping others feel less alone in their journey.
Mentors help by:
Holding space for conversations
Listening openly and without judgment
Sharing experiences and reflections
Encouraging exploration without pressure
Mentors are not expected to:
Teach formal classes
Grade, evaluate, or measure progress
Have all the answers
Act as a therapist or counselor
How the Program Works

Meet Through Conversations

Build Connection Over Time
Some conversations happen once, while others continue naturally over time as mentors and mentees build familiarity, trust, and shared creative growth.
